say what you will (poem)

when the moon emerged from behind the clouds

the poets praised its gentle beauty

so the moon became full and shined brightly

only to get called the harbinger of insanity

then the moon disappeared into the dark

so the sailors lost their way in sea

when the moon came back in sight

some people searched for a mythical bunny

then the moon was overcome by a shadow

and people cursed it for the end of the times

so the moon kept coming back

sometimes distant

sometimes close by

and leaving whenever it wanted

the moon; praised once, feared twice

remained the moon despite the chatter

unswayed by curses, untouched by praise

decided to keep shining on its own time
